I understand what you mean, the type of Dæmon you have can affect your entire lifestyle.
But it's like that in Lyra's universe too!
Remember the sailor saying he had a friend whose Dæmon was a dolphin, so he had to live near water?
He could never leave the sea or his Dæmon would die!

I feel like if there were Dæmon, maybe people wouldn't like commit suicide or something. Like at least they would have something to rely on. And a lot of people don't have religion so they wouldn't have that.. but a Dæmon.. that's like special.

I like that idea too. It's like in the books, Lyra doesn't fully understand how Will could be so lonely in his own world, because she has always had Pantalaimon, but Will was not aware of his Dæmon and was all alone.
