Seriously, I'm not sure whether I think that's a good idea. I'm all in favour of a huge thank you for people who donate money. But I wouldn't want people to feel bullied or peer-pressured into giving money (which they may just not have) by this labelling.

Why don't we open an donators appraisal thread, that should do, I guess.

Yeah I'm with chastity on this one. If you donate then it's greatly appreciated but it won't get you a special threatment. Just my opinion, Ryan may not have to agree with that.

I've never done it but I know it exists and that it works. You give money on one end, they take it and have somebody on the other end go to the person you want to send money to and they'll give the money, converted into local currency and with a little bit chopped off it to pay for their services.

would it be easier if I just sent euro's in the mail?

Yes but you'd risk that someone would take it. You can't trust the mail system on that.

Well I don't trust the Dutch mailsystem. I've heard to many stories about orders of all sorts of stuff (mostly mobile phones) that went *missing* somewhere.

Surely you know someone with a credit card willing to send the money? Hell. Get your parents to write a check! (And if the international fees worry you, send it to someone in England with paypal who can send it for ya!)

You could do a cashier's check/money order...

You can usually just go to the store and ask the customer service people to do one for you. You need the name of the person you are sending it to, etc.

Thats how it works here, at least.

LA has a bank account? Wow! You mean his story about not having an account so he needed my help to release millions of dollars stuck in Nigeria just by giving him a few hundred pounds was a lie?

This might seem like a really stupid question, but why exactly do you need money to run a website?

Do you have to buy rights or something?

Rights, no. But the hardware running this website and the domain names as well cost money.
