This was written by someone who doesn't normally do narrative style things but oh well:
There's a golden compass sitting in her hand
Translate northern lights to American
Keep it hidden from a gold-furred devil now
To the north on a boat and a bear we go
Escape right now but she can't see how
Then a mother runs in before before the blow
She lead her little friend farther to her father
Farther from home and deep into the night
Lord, he freaked when he first saw her,
But with her friend he could open the light
Mother and father at the crest of the hill
Her friend falls then with a cry so shrill
It burns her heart with so many scars
She vows to ascend the bridge to the stars
Boy leads his mother by the hand
Everything's fine till he kills a man
He can't stay home, he has to flee
At night he wanders down through Oxford
Sees a cat just like Moxie
It leads him into another world
Boy and girl meet in a cafe
Girl finds a snake but puts her in danger
Tries to return the very next day
But the snake must leave at request from angels
A Texan falls but leads father to his son
Boy gains a knife but lost 3 fingers
An arrow ruins a perfect reunion
The angels say go, but in shock he lingers
She is gone now, taken by her mother
To keep her safe from the Church's hands
Boy and bear, Church, armies of her father,
Attack at once, each with different plans
To the world of the dead, beyond return
Of death and heartbreak, boy and girl learn
Fulfilling the prophecy, death must die
And battles of angels fill the sky
Lovers on the edge of the great abyss
All three fall and cease to exist
The serpent told stories of falling in love
Of putting fruit to a lover's mouth
The next day their souls watched from above,
And then she put the fruit to his mouth
Nothing else mattered, nothing existed
Except for these two no longer quite children
Their hearts so full of love and lust
Saved the flow of all the world's Dust
But the couldn't stay together, they had to be torn
Their Dæmon couldn't live where they weren't born
So the angels closed up all the holes,
Separating boy and girl and their souls
Now they are forever together and apart
Apart in the world but together in the heart

Brilliant poem!
