My Dæmon's name is Zingday (or "Zing" or "day-kun"). We have yet to find the right form, but the name is definite.

For those of you who don't know your Dæmon's name: don't worry, and don't force it. When you find their true name, you will know. I think for those of us without corporeal Dæmon, finding the name works like settling: "and they would want no other" (can't remember the whole line). I tried to change his name after I found the real one and it didn't work at all. "Zingday" stuck.

My dæmon's name is Pandaroestalimon, it means "All Theives Forgiven" Nich, huh. I call him Pan through, try calling your dæmon Katrina or Trina, it's a nice name and not many people are called it

My Dæmon's name is Rakkanteki. He's in the form of a moth. The name means "hope" in Japanese, and because I reckon you can't live without hope, I thought it was a good idea to have him not only acting as hope, but actually called hope. That way, there is always hope in my life. I didn't actually expect the name to sound right, but when I found it it just, sort of, fit, like a jigsaw piece sliding into place.

There was a time when I wished my Dæmon's name actually meant something, but Harra doesn't. It's just a short for Harmaaranne (Greywrist), because his right front paw is gray (which is because I have a birth mark on my right arm. It's big and I figured that it should show.) Some day I'll hear that Harra means something like "a slimy worm that has hair all over" in some language...

*blushes* Thank you I just figured that in HDM, the Dæmon' name usually mean something that relates to the character or the Dæmon, so I thought it was a good idea. It doesn't really matter if the ones in the book are in Greek. I just thought it would be cool if the name was of some significance...

scáthmbaol is the name of my otter Dæmon. scáth has a few different meanings and i choose it for the alethiometer quality about it . scáth = dread, protection, shade, shadow. and Mbaol= with danger as it's main translation has variations with a similar meaning.

my intention is that despite the playful quality my Dæmon has he isn't to be taken lightly when threatened, like most otters they're known to seriously maim animals much larger than themselves. many hunting dogs have fallen to a cute harmless looking otter. I love the potentially vicious little things.

Dæmon from Will's world (or our's), don't even know they exist. Kirjava said that in TAS. They don't have names or anything. So basically, you can name your Dæmon what ever you want, as long yours agrees too. By the way, mine's Jaikasa.
