Laurie Frost holds a PhD in English from Rice University in Houston, Texas, where she specialized in the contemporary novel. Her publications range from a popular cultural article looking at companion animals in prose to a scholarly study of Anthony Powell's A Dance to the Music of Time. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, she lives in Alabama with her family.
