Deleted Scenes in The Golden Compass videogame

It appears that some of the last-minute changes New Line Cinema made to the movie didn't reach the game developers at SEGA and Shiny in time, Wired.com writes. Several scenes that have been deleted/moved from the movie are still featured in the the game. In fact, the scenes are in correct sequence following the book more closely with the Lyra crossing the ice shelf at Bolvanger appearing in the correct context in the storyline.

Wired also extracted one of those deleted scenes where Lyra brings Roger to Lord Asriel's laboratory. Of course, these are huge spoilers as these scenes might actually make it into The Subtle Knife. Daniel Craig is absolutely awesome though, so it's definitely worth the watch.

Wow. [SPOILERS] ahead

The narration is surprising, but it’s unfinished still. I wonder if the narration is truly there or only was there and would’ve been changed or if it was a videogame-only addition.

I think it’s just regular video game narration.

yeah, I think its safe to say the narration is only there for the video game.

Am I the only one who feels this way:  No more reporting on the video game!!!  Let’s focus all our energy on getting New Line to start the sequels (which would be like raising the titanic at this point)!

Ehm… These are just scenes from the sequels you mention. I find it interesting to know what they’ll tell.
And reporting this kind of news is not gonna take any energy out of trying New Line to start the sequels.
But on that account, more can be done by you and all of us. Get the word out that you liked the film, so the box office won’t get killed.

I am just tired of news about the video game ‘cause no one will remember it in a year.  The film will be around long after that.  Me thinks a a cult following is building….

You’re missing the point here. It’s news about the movies, coming from the video game.

The sequels will probably not made.  This stuff will probably show up on a DVD at some point.  Future viewing will be made on DVD, not in the game.  That’s the point I’m trying to make.

It’s actually doing really well worldwide, so it’s too early to go all pessimistic yet. :)

I hope you’re right, LINK, I really do!  They better hurry, though.  Ms. Richards isn’t going yo stay 12 forever!!!  Damned writers strike!
