Give your daemons an outing they’ll never forget! Enter the parallel universe of Philip Pullman’s epic trilogy when the much-acclaimed Theatre Royal Bath Young People’s Theatre stages its most ambitious project ever. The show will feature a cast of more than 150, over 300 costumes and 100 amazing puppets made especially. The result promises to be nothing short of spectacular.

His Dark Materials takes audiences on a thrilling journey with 12 year-olds, Lyra and Will. Their great quest demands a savage struggle against the most dangerous of enemies – rebellious angels, soul-eating spectres, child-catching Gobblers and the armoured bears and witch-clans of the Arctic.

Although both parts of this spellbinding adventure may be enjoyed independently, the full scale of the theatrical experience will best be enjoyed by seeing both parts.

Philip Pullman’s masterpiece was in the top three best-loved novels in the BBC’s literary poll, The Big Read and is undoubtedly one of the greatest stories in contemporary children’s literature, and much loved by adults too.The first part of the film version of the trilogy, The Golden Compass, has recently been seen in the cinema.
