Scholastic has informed us that they'll be publishing two new editions of the His Dark Materials books.
The left one features identical content but sports a cover which will supposedly appeal to the younger readers.
The second new edition is a refreshed version of the classic British edition, this time with updated (foil) cover art; these books also contain the appendix added in the 10th anniversary editions.

I like the junior covers, especially the subtle knife one (CittĂ gazze!). I do prefer the classic covers to the new edition ones. The colours of the Northern Lights cover for example are so much more vivid in the classic edition!

mmm I think I agree! the junior editions are nice.... my copy of HDM is all in one volume, just with a pic of the alethiometer on the front, not quite so colourful.

I like the polar bear, cat, and snow leopard (maybe?) at the top of each book. I have to say that I still prefer the Eric Rohmann covers. Still, I love the detailed picture of Ci'gazze!

Then they will probably publish new ones again with the movie cover when it comes out.
