After many painstaking hours of editing we are proud to present production footage from The Golden Compass.

This material was released by New Line at the Cannes film festival.

Once again a big thanks to Samwise for helping out with the editing of the footage!

Gorgeous job! The efforts were obviously worth the result.
It is very interesting to see some scenes before and after post-production, makes it even more pleasing to ze eye. :)

@anna11: No, that was basically a 10 minute version of the trailer, with just (nearly) finished footage.

This is production footage edited with footage from trailer. It's edited by us and it's not coming from New Line.

Wonderful and commendable job on the editing, and many thanks for taking your time and devoting such hard work to this video!

That footage was just gorgeous; I am pleased we caught a few glimpses into footage that wasn't in the trailer and also heard some new music as well.

Really wonderful!  Loved seeing the bear stand in for Ragnar.  And Daniel Craig getting his photo with Pullman!  Think I caught him three times.

'99 Tokay?  Why the year change?
What is is that box anyway?

Wonderfully composed - editing was brilliant.  Starting to enjoy Sam Elliot more, great delivery.  And DBR trudges, like a champion, trudge trudge through the snow.  I've got this idea about how actors cannot run, asking an actor to run turns out unnatural so it's funny to see Dakota running around (normally!) and Weitz directing her "run run run!"

I love Dakota's face expression right after Iorek said "yes I have a contract with a child". It's all proud and Lyra-ish. =D
