On behalf of the HisDarkMaterials.org’s team, I’d like to wish all His Dark Materials fans a happy and prosper 2008!
This past year has been a very interesting and exciting year for all of us, with the release of The Golden Compass and everything surrounding that. The release of The Golden Compass teaser trailer was the best viewed news article, followed closely by Chris Weitz’ message to the fans about the cut ending, and our The Golden Compass reviews. We welcomed over 3.700 new members this year, breaking the 10.000 members mark, and all of those people posted over 120.000 messages and comments!
Thanks to everyone who’s been involved with HisDarkMaterials.org in any way. We are confident that 2008 will bring a lot of new exciting things for us His Dark Materials fans.

very good news for the new year...the movie. yes it is still up to about 70 million in the united states..however it is at 200 million foreignly may bode well for the subtle knife have your fingers crossed!!!

Happy New Year, everybody!
Just saw TGC last night for the first time, and all my fears are alleviated—Weitz did a very good job.
Here’s to more than $300 million in international grosses (we’re at $259 now, and it’s still opening in places), to the longer cut on Blu-ray, and to the sequels being greenlit ASAP!
