Finally after a month of procrastination we got round to judging the fanart that was sent in to the fanart contest. However, choosing a winner wasn't easy. We had no choice but to award three artists Dave, Jendi and Xana a joint first place. However, we only had one copy of His Dark Materials: A Readers Guide, so we randomly selected one winner. The book will be sent to Dave as soon as possible.

Asriel finally got round to scripting a Chatroom, based on the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) protocol. It's very easy to use, so we hope to have a lot of members joining in the discussions soon.

L!NK and I finally got round to finishing this site's current theme, DarkIce. We also finished the theme for the messageboard. We hope you enjoy it, and as always, comments are welcome.

I would like to apologise to all the members who just received the newsletter.

I am working on a new newsletter system but due to a scripting error the server sent everybody a copy of the old newsletter.

The error has been fixed, and the correct newsletter will be mailed out tomorrow.

There aren't (m)any HDM related updates in the last few days. Everybody has written something nice about the stageplay and New Line is not revealing anything new regarding the movies. So what can you as a HDM fan do on this site then?

• Go and post something on the messageboard. The messageboard has come to live in the last few weeks. New members register each day and the topics are more active.
• Join in the discussion about religion(on the messageboard too). We have some believers and some non-believers active on the messageboard. The two 'sides' are discussing what religion means for the believers.
• Go and check out the Encyclopedia. We always had it so why should you check it now? Well we always had a encyclopedia with 15 terms or so. Now we filled it with 125+ terms. We're still cross-linking the terms and more terms are to come.
• Check out the Image Gallery. We have added some new cover art and some fan art drawing. Thanks Lyra009 and Samwise for the latest additions!
• Coming Soon: Another Column! lula will be writing a column about characters in HDM.

Lord Asriel had coded this wonderful menu. But yours sincerely and some others complained about it because it was a bit difficult to find what you wanted to find. So now Lord Asriel Menu v2.0 is launched!

The Structure is like this:

• The top menu is the site menu. You can browse through the different features of the site via this menu.
• The second menu is the information menu. You can find all the information about every HDM related topic through this menu.
