President Bush's state visit at this time clearly illustrates the extent to which he is out of touch with reality. A president who has emphasised weapons of mass destruction, then democracy for Iraq, and now seeks a quick exit from his disastrous unilateralism, deserves massive demonstrations. I encourage your readers to actively welcome our president by showing massive opposition to his disastrous adventurism in Iraq.

The one glaring omission in your top 40 film directors is Spike Lee. I never realised his importance while in England, but now, as a film student in the US, I understand his influence in shaping modern cinema. From Do The Right Thing and He Got Game to the recent satire Bamboozled, Lee is a consistently innovative filmmaker, with an auteur's vision and a voice that speaks for many.
