Yahoo! Movies brings us two new shorts as film clips continue to roll out. "Contract" features an extended look at Iorek's recovering his armor, and "As We Pleased" demonstrates the charming Kidman as Mrs. Coulter arriving at the Jordan College dining hall. Both clips are available for viewing in HD format.
Also, be sure to check UnderGroundOnline for a gallery of the "steampunk" props and set pieces from The Golden Compass.
Update: UGO has also made available a clip of Lyra and Serafina talking about Bolvangar and a featurette on the steampunk aspects of The Golden Compass, which includes a shot of Lyra destroying the silver guillotine intercision machine and conceptual artist, Dan Walker, and production designer Dennis Gassner talking about anbaric power in Lyra's universe.
Thanks to situ and whohash83 for the heads up
And in case you've missed them, the other clips that have been released in the last couple of days are "A Bear's Armour" from IGN.com and the part of the panserbjorne fight from myspace.com and a clip of Lyra telling Iorek the location of his armour from Moviefone.com and a clip of Lyra and Lee Scoresby in Trollesund.
Links to all clips and trailers to date can be accessed on The Golden Compass Information page here.

God Nicole’s voice creeps the hell out of me. I am impressed with how everything is put up, and I love Iorek the most. :p

I’m loving Sam Elliot as Lee the most - makes sense he’s my favorite in the books! Iorek comes close second :)

The clip with Iorek bursting out is my favourite clip so far.
Something tiny and to most insignificant has restored my faith in this film. What’s that? The soldiers speaking Russian.
It may be a trivial detail, but the fact that the soldiers speak a foreign language to each other is absolutely perfect in my eyes, and just how I imagined it in the books. Brilliant.
Absolutely superb.

If a 2 min. chip can make me smile (which all of the have done so far) then Chris and his team have done their job it looks great so far. I’m really looking forward to seeing the completed Film and the 7th

I absolutely loved both of the clips. Nicole Kidman is perfect as Mrs. Coulter. I’m so excited. I am slightly disappointed at the length of the movie though. Yahoo is listing it at 1 hour and 54 minutes. However, they did in fact add scenes that weren’t even in the book so I suppose that the length is probably perfect to tell the story. Plus, they did take out the last part of the movie so I guess that makes sense. Probably just disappoints me because I wish it would go on forever!

Did you guys get these clips as well? I didn’t see them on here so I wasn’t sure. Anyway, here is a clip of Lyra and Serafina talking about Bolvangar. I really enjoyed this one.

UGO released a video on the “steampunk” elements of HDM and they also talk about the anbaric power. There are some very pretty new scenes here as well as Lyra destroying the intercision machine. Great stuff.

JEEEZ. These clips are all waaay too impressive! They’ve got all the characters down well enough if not perfectly.
I’m starting to love Sam Elliot with how well he portrays Lee (who was one of my favorite characters!) Now I only hope that this movie will get enough financial support to make the installments!!!! It was funny how I actually saw The Golden Compass posters in bus shelters all over town. I really hope people will come see whether they’ve read the books or not (and they may even go after the books once they’ve seen the movie!).

#10 Looks good but...
I mean the clips look good and all, but to me Ian McKellen just does not sound right as Iorek, the voice on the previous trailer (Specifically “I have a contract with the child) sounded way better, and Ian’s version just sounds rushed. But maybe it’s just that one part that doesn’t sound right, but other than that it looks great. At first I was doubtful of Sam Elliot, but he looks like he’s going to fit the part pretty well.
