A few hundred people turned up yesterday to catch a glimpse of the stars from The Golden Compass and to feel the atmosphere. All notable talent in the movie, everyone notable from New Line Cinema as well as Philip Pullman were there on Leicester Square in London to walk the red carpet leading to the cinema were the public had the first chance to see the film.

HisDarkMaterials.org were there at this magnificent event, with a photographer and a camera crew. The video report of the event includes interviews with Philip Pullman, Chris Weitz (who had a special message directed to all of you), Eva Green, Sam Elliot, soundtrack composer Alexandre Desplat, producer Deborah Forte and executive producer Andrew Miano.

View the photos here, and please have a look at the Premiere feature page for more info!

#6 Great Edit and Great Vid.

This is what it feels like to work “the liine”.  Very smooth and informative.  I liked Sam Elliot and can’t wait until the DVD comes out.

#7 Just Like Home...not!!!

I am always amazed at the euphonic fan support given to these openings.  The “Red Carpet” commentaries and interviews all seem to ask the same quesions, get the same answers, and sometimes even wear the same clothes (Designer Placement ?$$$$).

But really!  That’s what we love because we could never appear there ourselves, so our hopes and dreams are leavened again and again....
