Biography
Anne V. Coates (born 12 December 1925) is a highly acclaimed, Academy Award winning British film editor. Anne worked briefly as a nurse before deciding to pursue a career in the film industry and has since become one of the very few top female film editors. She is best known for the 1962 epic, “Lawrence of Arabia”, for which she won the Best Film Editing Oscar. Anne has since had a very long, prolific career receiving numerous Oscar nominations and now, into her eighties, has shown no signs of retiring.
