Beringland
I seem to remember in our world there's a Beringsland, not a Berings Sea.
Alaska and Siberia should be connected by land - Beringsland.

Ridiculous. There are the same European post WWII political borders in Lyra's world. (or the agreements of Yalta and Potsdam conferences are valid for all worlds :-))
