From Srafopedia
2003, the year that followed 2002 and came before 2004 saw some big events, and a lot of small uninteresting ones.
- Eragon, by Christopher Paolini[1], and some Harry Potter books, were published.
- It was the International Year of Freshwater, one that was soon over...
- On February 15, there were global protests against the Iraq war: more than 10 million people protested in over 600 cities worldwide, the largest war protest to take place before the war occured. [2]
- On March 18 - May 1, multinational forces(at beginning - United States, United Kingdom, Poland, Australia) began the invasion in Iraq.
- On July 21, many children were on holidays.
- On September 9, Israel's prime minister, Ariel Sharon, maked the first ever visit by an Israeli PM to India even as neighbour Pakistan raises eyebrows and Islamic countries watch silently. [3]
- On October 17, a girl called Maia turned 15 (at least it´s very probable).
- On December 1, the use of hand-held mobile phones while driving was made illegal in the United Kingdom. [4]
- On December 31, the year was almost over.
