The part of the Basalt Fortress which is Lord Asriel's headquarters, where he makes his plans and holds meetings. Adamant is a mythical ore that has basis amongst many different genres and stories. For instance, Adamantium, the metal created from this ore, is used to create the metal skeleton Wolverine is gifted with in the X-Men series of Marvel comics and co-existing franchises. Also, the Mithril of Middle Earth in the Lord of the Rings trilogy is another name for Adamantium.
Adamantium is a supposedly unbreakable metal.
