Armory, the

A section of the Basalt Fortress where weapons and armaments are made for Lord Asriel's Rebellion. It is absolutely enormous, hewn out of the rock and lit by glowing crystals, rather than anbaric or naptha lamps. It is also very loud. It is here that Asriel shows his high council, and Mrs. Coulter, on the way to demonstrating the Intention Craft.
The description of the Armory echoes the description of Pandæmonium in Paradise Lost.
