In the Movie Adaption
In the movie adaption, Billy Costa and Tony Makarios are merged, therefore the character is named Billy Costa but his dæmon is called Ratter (the dæmon of Tony Macarios). Lyra finds Billy Costa without his dæmon in a barn and brings him back to the Gyptians and his mother, shortly before they are attacked by the Samoyeds.
