Bursar

Bursar is a Latin term meaning "keeper of the purse" or "official in charge of funds". The Bursar is responsible for the accounts and expenses of Jordan College, and presumably must allocate money to make repairs and renovations. As Jordan is the largest and richest of all the Oxford colleges in Lyra's World, this is presumably a fairly important job.
