Canada

Canada is a country which occupies most of North-America in our world. During history it has been inhabitated by numerous from aboriginal people to French-British colonists. It was also the location of the first known contact between colonists from the Old World and the New World. These where between Icelandic Vikings and tribes of native people that lived there. Canada is a member of the British Commonwealth due to it's past as one of Britians colonies.

It is not well known what Canadas position in Lyra's World is, but it might be represented as New France since some of the settlers in Canada was French.
