Dragonflies

In the Gallivespian World, dragonflies are bred for their Gallivespian owners to ride. Hatched from cocoons, dragonflies are bred for different reasons. The Lady Salmakia's dragonfly is electric blue and has a glowing tail. The Chevalier Tialys's dragonfly is a red and yellow variety bred for speed. A harness of spider silk reins, titanium stirrups, and a hummingbird skin saddle is attached to a dragonfly immediately following its hatching and is worn its entire life. Dragonflies develop an imprint of the first creature they see upon hatching.
