MacPhail, Father Hugh

President of the Consistorial Court of Discipline. Hugh MacPhail is a Scot, elected young and in the mid-forties during the events of The Amber Spyglass. He has a lizard dæmon. His goal is the absolute destruction of Dust at whatever cost. He assigns Father Gomez to destroy "Eve" (Lyra) before the Temptation occurs.
