A Gallivespian spy working for Lord Asriel. Originally assigned by Lord Roke to spy on the Society of the Work of the Holy Spirit she and her companion the Chevalier Tialys were reassigned to the duty of protecting and cooperating with Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry. Because the children would not return with the spies to Lord Asriel they traveled to the World of the Dead with Will and Lyra.
The Lady Salmakia was in her eighth year of living and rode on a blue Dragonfly with a light in its tail.
