Spectre Orphans
From Srafopedia
The term Spectre-orphan is first used by Joachim Lorenz of Città gazze, who tells witches Serafina Pekkala and Ruta Skadi that while children are not themselves attacked by Spectres, many have lost both parents to them.
Later shaman Stanislaus Grumman tells aëronaut Lee Scoresby that the gangs of children they see in the city over which they are flying are Spectre-orphans. He also includes among this group children left alone when the adults in a city flee. Spectre-orphans roam the country; some hire themselves out to adults to procure supplies from the cities, while others simply scavenge. These gangs are also called street urchins.
