Universe

The Universe is probably easiest explained as a bubble, containing everything it is possible to know or conceive. Every grain of sand, stone, rock, boulder, planet, star, galaxy and beyond is contained within this potentially infinite space. However, recent studies have shown it to be approximately 13.7 billion light years away (1.29609239 × 10^29 metres).

The universe, according to the physics of the His Dark Materials series, is not singular, but one of many universes in a multiverse theory.
