Wardrobe, The

Located in the Retiring Room at Jordan College. It is here that Lyra overhears the meeting between Lord Asriel and the Jordan Scholars. Important as is the spot where Lyra's adventures begin to unfold.

It has been noted that the wardrobe in TGC/NL corresponds to the wardrobe in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," by C.S. Lewis, whose books Philip Pullman despises.
