World of the Dead

A world accessed either by dying or using the Subtle Knife where death has recently occurred. Ghosts travel paths by instinct to get to the Suburbs of the Dead and then take a boat into the Land of the Dead.

Living souls are forbidden past the shores of the misty sea that isolates the land of the dead, and that includes daemons. The Land of the dead itself rests on a desolate island in a misty sea. The entrance is guarded by harpies. The place is filled with millions upon millions of ghosts of those who have died. There is no color, no sound, no happiness, and no change, and the ghosts simply dwell for eternity in dismal, meaningless existance.
