Yarnton

Yarnton is a village around five miles north of Oxford, both in Lyra's world and our world. It is mentioned in The Golden Compass as having an Anbaric Park that Lyra is reminded of when she sees Lord Asriel's projections. The Anbaric Park is, in our world, an electric substation.
Yarnton is also around two miles south of Cassington, the small village that the Cassington Scholar takes his title from.
